Department of Agricultural Economics
Division of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources
Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, Oklahoma


Position Description: This is an 11-month tenure track appointment consisting of both research and teaching duties (75% research, 25% teaching). The faculty member will be expected to develop and/or sustain a research and teaching program in production economics and farm management. Research productivity will be commensurate with the land grant mission of OSU and focus on increasing efficiency and adding value to Oklahoma’s primary agricultural enterprises. Specific responsibilities include:

Develop an internationally recognized research program
Develop a nationally recognized teaching program
Teach courses in production economics, farm management, or related areas at the undergraduate and/or graduate level
Serve as advisor and research supervisor for M.S. and Ph.D. students
Publish in recognized peer-reviewed journals and related outlets
Generate external support from private and governmental sources
Advise undergraduate students
Serve on Departmental, Division and University committees appropriate to interests, responsibilities, and organizational mission

Qualifications: A Ph.D. degree in agricultural economics, economics, finance, business or other related disciplines is required. The successful candidate must be well trained in economic theory and quantitative techniques and demonstrate an ability to produce applied disciplinary and interdisciplinary agricultural research. Preference will be given to individuals with excellent written and oral communications skills, excellent interpersonal skills, evidence of teaching success, and demonstrated success in publishing research.

Employment Conditions: Salary commensurate with education, training, and experience. The position is to be filled by August 1, 2021, or soon thereafter.
