Clinical or Tenure Track Assistant/Associate/Professor in Small Animal Surgery (2 positions: 1 soft tissue, 1 orthopedics) within the Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences, College of Veterinary Medicine at Oklahoma State University.
Academic Rank and salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Responsibilities include clinical instructional service and classroom instruction for veterinary students, support of house officer training programs, and scholarly work:
Provide clinical service to the pet owning public within Small Animal Surgery section, of the Veterinary Medicine Hospital. Provide clinical instruction to 4th year veterinary students in the diagnosis, treatment, of surgical disorders of companion animals presented to the Veterinary Medicine Hospital. Provide consultation with the pet owning public and veterinarians. Maintain accurate records of clinical cases. Provide didactic lecture and laboratory instruction to students in years 1 through 3. Participate in academic affairs and outreach for general public and referring veterinarians.
After hours emergency services will be shared with other faculty.
Must comply with mandatory rabies pre-exposure vaccine program.
D.V.M. or comparable Veterinary degree
Residency training in small animal surgery.
Board certified in ACVS or ECVS Small Animal Surgery or qualified to take the ACVS certification examination.
Eligibility for faculty license in Oklahoma is required.
